We are a first generation family farm raising meat rabbits, Katahdin sheep, meat chickens, turkeys, pasture raised eggs, Idaho pasture pigs, and fresh produce from our market garden.

At Hazelnut Pastures, we go beyond organic. Soil life, biodiversity and animal welfare are just as important to us as organic, non-GMO, and chemical free. We use no-till, regenerative farming methods for crops and animals. All animals are vaccine free, pasture raised and rotated to new pasture every few days. All our feed is non-GMO and soy free. We are returning to the way our great grandparents farmed over 100 years ago.

How to Purchase our Products

-Online Farm store:

  1. Order from our online farm store anytime 24/7 and together we will arrange a time to pickup your order here at the farm. When you order you can add a note to let us know when you would like to pick up your order.
  2. Order and pickup either Tuesday or Thursday at the Herb Shop and Organic Foods in Statesboro from 2-7pm.

–Statesboro Farmers Market: Every Saturday Downtown Statesboro. April to Thanksgiving.

–Online Store through Statesboro Farmers Market. Order Fri-Tue with Pickup in Statesboro every Thursday 4-6. Go to display options and choose “show specific growers”. Choose hazelnutpastures to view current updated items for sale.

What we offer from the Farm

Pastured Eggs

We raise our birds on pasture year round. They are sun, bug loving free range. We supplement with Non GMO feed and our birds are vaccine free. All eggs are brown and we are currently producing around 40 dozen eggs a week. In Statesboro you can purchase our eggs at the Herb & Organic Shop or at Kinship Endeavors.

Market Garden

Our 2 acre market garden and orchard produces year round. We go beyond organic and don’t till the soil or use any “cides” on our farm. We are soil farmers who grow great veggies and desire to restore our land.

Weekly offerings are normally fresh greens, radishes, salad mix, carrots, and seasonal crops like; greens, brussel sprouts, corn, okra, tomatoes, peppers, arugula, pak choi, onions, garlic etc.

Katahdin Sheep

Katahdin are hair sheep and perfect for our warm summer South Georgia weather. They are on fresh pasture year round with a small Non-GMO feed supplement. Reserve a whole or half lamb today for your family. Typical finished meat is 40 lbs per whole lamb. $75 Deposit required pay balance when you pick up your meat.

Rabbits

We have 3 Daddy’s and 6 Momma’s so we can provide multiple breeding lines and various colors. They are a composite called Tamux developed by Texas A&M for good heat tolerance and quality meat. We sell them as pets and also for meat. All feed is Non-GMO. Our finished meat rabbit weighs about 3 pounds and is great for stews. Need to pack the freezer or a special event we can do bulk orders. 16 week lead time for bulk orders up to 30 rabbits.

Idaho Pasture Pigs

Our Breeding stock is all registered. They are on fresh pasture year round with a small Non-GMO feed supplement. We sell registered piglets, feeder pigs and are also taking reservation for half or whole butchered pigs. Typical finished meat is 100 lbs per whole hog. $75 Deposit required pay balance when you pick up your meat.

Meat Birds

We raise our Meat Chickens and Turkeys with no vaccines and no antibiotics and supplement with Non-GMO feed. They are pasture raised on sunshine and grass year round. We sell, whole birds, breast meat with bone, leg and thigh packs, wings, and feet. Need to pack the freezer or a special event we can do bulk orders. 10 week lead time for bulk orders up to 75 birds.
